Performing at the event will be engaging musicians of the Jacksonville Symphony woodwind sections.
Les Roettges, Principal Flute
With the Jacksonville Symphony since 1986. Performing with the Eastern Music Festival and the All-Star Orchestra ,– he has won 6 EMMYs to date. He received a Bachelor of Music from New England Conservatory and a Master of Music from The Juilliard School.
Eric Olson, Principal Oboe
After graduating from Northwestern University he has performed with conductors including Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa. Like most oboists he makes his own reeds.
Giovanni Bertoni, Principal Clarinet
Originally from Sassuolo, Italy, Bertoni holds degrees from the Yale School of Music and Oberlin Conservatory. Prior to his 2019 appointment in Jacksonville, he was a member of the New World Symphony, directed by Michael Tilson Thomas.
Jordan Brokken, Principal Bassoon
A newcomer to Jacksonville, he has performed as Guest Principal Bassoon with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Atlanta Symphony. A native of Houston Texas, Brokken received his Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles where he studied with Richard Beene
Arron Brask, French Horn
In addition to being a gifted musician Brask is also an accomplished Nine Ball player. He attended Interlochen Arts Academy and received a Bachelor of Music from Boston University
