No doubt you will recognize the double bassists who are usually seen on the stage at Jacoby Hall, as they ‘hug’ their imposing instruments which usually provide rich undertones, tonic roots and rhythmic foundations for the orchestra. It is likely we will hear new acoustic dimensions of their instruments during this afternoon of music, in the intimate setting of Story & Song. The afternoon will include the opportunity to interact with the personable musicians and learn more about their instruments and musical journeys.
